Household goods relocation for California state employees is handled under its own authorization and reimbursement process, not a standard retail booking. CG Moving Company, Inc. is an approved carrier under the California Department of General Services for this exact program. We support eligible state employees through the full process: packing, transport, delivery, and final placement.
Who the program covers, and how eligibility is determined.
This program generally covers permanent California state employees relocating for work, such as a promotion, a transfer, or a new assignment. The employing agency determines eligibility and issues the authorization, not CG Moving.
This program is generally designed for State of California employees who are relocating for work-related reasons and have received approval through their agency.

Employees Starting A New Chapter, whether a transfer or a new assignment, follow the same authorized process.
Approved Relocation Benefits cover the packing, transport, and delivery services the state authorizes, within your assigned limits.
Agency Authorization starts the process. Your agency issues written approval and a Moving Service Authorization, Form STD 255.
Choose an Eligible Carrier from the State's approved list. As a DGS approved carrier, CG Moving Co. is one of those options.
Home Survey and Estimate follows. We complete a visual survey and provide a written estimate against your authorization.
Move Execution covers the physical move itself, packing, transport, delivery, and placement.
Billing and Audit close out the process. We bill the State directly, and DGS audits the charges against your authorization.
