CG Moving’s recap of a March 2019 CMSA Northern Region meeting at Hotel Mac, Point Richmond.
A Night at Hotel Mac in Point Richmond
CMSA Northern Region met at Hotel Mac in Point Richmond on March 20, with vendors hosting cocktails.
On Wednesday, March 20, we held our CMSA Northern Region chapter meeting at the historic Hotel Mac Restaurant in Point Richmond, California. Our associate members hosted the cocktail mixer, and we want to give a special thank you to J & S Paper, Champion Risk & Insurance Services, Victory Packaging, New Haven Moving Equipment, Paul Hanson Partners, and Conor J. Dale, Attorney, for sponsoring the cocktail hour.
We enjoyed an Italian food buffet and finished the evening with a creme brulee dessert that everyone loved. Hotel Mac is a solid choice for business meetings. They have live music during Happy Hour, easy freeway access, and a beautiful historic building with real character. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for a venue with both atmosphere and convenience.
Why CMSA Vendor Support Matters
CMSA associate members support all 12 California moving chapters with products, insurance, and more.
We want to take a moment to thank every associate member who puts in the time and effort to drive or fly to each local chapter event. As licensed commercial and household goods movers, we know how hard it is to carve out time for a chapter meeting. Now imagine doing that for all 12 CMSA chapters. That is what our vendor partners do, and it deserves real recognition.
We are fortunate to have a wide range of associate members. Paper, boxes, dollies, insurance, trucks, fuel cards, legal counsel, they cover the full spectrum of what a commercial moving company needs to operate. Whether you are handling residential relocations or larger commercial projects, the CMSA associate membership is a reliable source of trusted vendors.
Getting to Know the People Behind the Products
A look at the personal side of the vendors who keep California’s licensed moving companies supplied.
We played a guessing game at this meeting and turned up some great facts about the people in the room. Matt Hastings of New Haven Moving Equipment loves to hike. Tom Verhauz of Robison Oil was on the University of Arkansas swimming team. John Kay of Victory Packaging is a former professional skier. Mark Hildreth of New Haven Moving Equipment loves to dance. Casey Myers of Champion Risk and Insurance Services played high school basketball and won a state title. Dustin Ullmer of J & S Paper loves video games. And our most recent associate vendor, Conor J. Dale of Jackson Lewis, spent time as a White House intern. These are the people behind the products, and they make every chapter meeting worth showing up for.
