We had such a great time meeting local San Mateo and Bay Area small businesses with the Latino Chamber Committee of the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce. Our committee chair Lizbeth Ficarra secured the local eatery “Cuban Kitchen” on 3799 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA 94403 for us to meet and we were not disappointed! The owners Lina Martinez and her daughter Leila have done an excellent job at creating a menu that is accessible, fast and delicious. Their food is fresh and fast, and very tasty!
As you may be aware, our Latino Chamber Committee was started about two years ago, we had a great launch party but then we had some leadership changes and we have all been working hard to bring these meetings back to life. We had a diverse group and energetic group at our mixer and were able to share some time after the presentation to exchange cards and re-connect with one another. Our meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month. Our next scheduled meeting will be on Tuesday September 17. I will be leading a discussion on the topic of business certifications available to small businesses. I hope you can join us!
