On Friday December 10, 2021, the Northern Region Chapter of the California Moving and Storage Association, held its first in person “Annual Holiday Dinner” since 2019. We met at the waterfront events and banquets hall Dominic’s At Oyster Point, Oyster Point Yatch Club in South San Francisco, CA.
We had Steve Weitekamp and his wife Carmen join us from Southern California, as well as Jeff Nadeau of Dewitt Move Worldwide from San Diego. The first person to RSVP was recognized and this time it was Casey Myers of Champion Risk and Insurance Services.
We honored our CMSA Chairman John Chipman Jr who has been serving in his position since before the pandemic. We thanked our sponsors who made generous contributions so that we could all enjoy delicious Cioppino, filet mignon or stuffed portabella mushroom. We had a distinct visit by San Mateo County Board of Supervisors President David Canepa who provided certificates to John Chipman Jr, commended our sponsors and congratulated Olga Garcia and me for closing this year with a third win for “Chapter of The Year”.
Our friend and fellow mover, Dennis Jenkins of Lulu’s Hauling donated a bike for the raffle. The winner of the bike was John Chipman Jr. Our friends Fred Wallace (One Big Man and One Big Truck) and Mark Hildreth (New Haven Moving Equipment) verified the ticket!
We welcomed Mike and Helen Marchiorlatti of Marchiorlatti Trucking Inc out of Daly City, CA and Elizabeth Rubio with PRS Professional Relocation Services LLC. We hope to see you again at one of our chapter meetings!
