CMSA Northern Region Chapter “Annual Holiday Dinner” 12-10-21 In South San Francisco

The CMSA Northern Region held its first in-person Annual Holiday Dinner since 2019 on December 10.

Back at the Table, Dominic's at Oyster Point

The 2021 holiday dinner was held at Dominic’s at Oyster Point, South San Francisco, CA.

On Friday, December 10, 2021, the Northern Region Chapter of the California Moving and Storage Association held its first in-person Annual Holiday Dinner since 2019. We gathered at Dominic’s at Oyster Point, the waterfront events and banquet hall at the Oyster Point Yacht Club in South San Francisco, California.

We were delighted to have Steve Weitekamp and his wife Carmen join us from Southern California, as well as Jeff Nadeau of Dewitt Move Worldwide making the trip up from San Diego.

Honoring Our Chairman and Celebrating Our Community

John Chipman Jr. was honored for his service; CG Moving won Chapter of the Year for a third time.

The first to RSVP was Casey Myers of Champion Risk and Insurance Services.

We honored our CMSA Chairman John Chipman Jr., who has been serving in his position since before the pandemic.

Thanks to the generosity of our event sponsors, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner of Cioppino, filet mignon, or stuffed portabella mushroom.

The evening was made even more special by a visit from San Mateo County Board of Supervisors President David Canepa, who presented certificates to John Chipman Jr., commended our sponsors, and congratulated Olga Garcia and the CG Moving Co. team for closing the year with a third consecutive “Chapter of the Year” win.

Dinner, Raffle, and a Bike for the Chairman

Dennis Jenkins of Lulu’s Hauling donated a bike for the raffle; John Chipman Jr. won it.

Our friend and fellow licensed California mover, Dennis Jenkins of Lulu’s Hauling, donated a bicycle for the raffle. The winner? John Chipman Jr. himself! Our friends Fred Wallace of One Big Man One Big Truck and Mark Hildreth of New Haven Moving Equipment made sure the winning ticket was verified.

We also welcomed Mike and Helen Marchiorlatti of Marchiorlatti Trucking Inc from Daly City, California, and Elizabeth Rubio of PRS Professional Relocation Services LLC. It was great to have new faces in the room.

We hope to see you at one of our upcoming chapter meetings. Thank you to all our event sponsors and attendees.

A special mention to Pete Pfeilsticker of Ace Relocations for bringing his children along to volunteer and sell raffle tickets. That kind of community spirit is what makes this chapter special.

We also have a short video recap of the evening for you to enjoy.
